Okay here is my attempt at making chuck in the crock pot!
What you need:
chuck- I got enough for just the two of us
8 mushrooms
3 celery stalks
1 sweet potato ( just used what I had)
1 russet potato
1 large red onion
salt and pepper
1/4 brown sugar
1 1/2 cup of pinto noir ( I wanted to use beer but I guess someone drank all our beer. Wine is second best)
1/8 cup of woshtersear sauce
1/8 cup of steak sauce
a dash of basil
Add chuck to the bottom of the crock. Season with Worcestershire sauce, steak sauce, salt pepper and brown sugar.
Add wine or beer around the chuck. Careful not to take off the seasoning of the chuck.
Add cut up veggies, putting potatoes first and then topping off with the mushrooms
Add basil.
I cooked mine on high for 6 hours.
Let me just tell you the wine was an great idea. I never tasted a meal so good. It had a nice sweet, but not over powering flavor. I also made buttermilk garlic cheese biscuits with this meal.
Buttermilk garlic cheese biscuits
1 cup of buttermilk mix
1/3 cup of milk
1/2 cup of Colby jack cheese
Mix all together. Stick on a pizza stone, or baking pan.
Heat on 400 for 8-10 mins.
Add butter to the top and a dash of garlic.
