Wake up between 6-630- obsessively ask for milk right away to the parents who are sleeping still.  If I don’t obsessively ask, they fall back to sleep really easily.

630- 8 Sip my milk happily on the couch all snuggled in the blankets and watch my favorite shows: Curious George, Tinkerbell. If I don’t use my words, mom always puts on Caillou. I don’t like that show.

8-9 Start to whine and ask for more milk. I would rather drink milk than eat. But mommy usually makes good breakfast that always includes fruit.

9-11 Mommy drags me to various places: grocery store, mall, baby boot camp, doctors apt (she has a lot of those lately), the park, and play dates with my friends or we stay in and play.

1130-1230 Mom makes me lunch, but I really don’t eat it. I usually have better things to do.

1-3 Is my nap time. I like to tease mommy sometimes and go down early for a nap, I know she is tired most days and needs a nap too. But other days I don’t want to sleep till 2, so I play in my room and usually poop. This makes her HAVE to change me and I get to play with her for a few mins.

3-5 Mom takes me to the park and plays with me. I sometimes get lucky and assist in making dinner for daddy, or I get to wash the dishes.

530-6 We eat dinner with these things called forks and poons (spoons). I always as for a nipe (knife) because I am a big boy.

6-7 It’s Dad and me time. This is where I show him I am the man of the house. I get to boss daddy around.

7-8 Mommy makes me take a bath, gets my pjs on, brush my teeth, and puts lotion on me (yucky). I dont want to go to bed.

8-830 Give mommy and daddy a hard time about going to bed. I usually get up twice to see what they are doing, but they put me back to bed. I love my extra kisses at night.

I always loved shorter hair. Even when I was in high school my hair, at times, was short.

Then I would grow it long.

Then cut it short.

Grow it long

Short.

and the trend still continues…………….at almost 30 years old.

I am totally digging the new look and color. I love how SASSY it makes me feel and it was super easy to tame when I woke up this morning.  Love , love, love it!

Weight gained: Holding steady at 150.8lbs. Still down 2.2 lbs from conception.

How I am feeling: I feel absolutely amazing. I am no longer as exhausted as the first trimester and I am rocking my workouts, hard.

Food Cravings/aversions: No Craving this week. Okay I lied. I really like the tangy taste of vinaigrette dressings with a contrast of nuts or fruit. So I am always in the mood for a salad.

Movement: Lots of movement. I wake up to it, I go to bed to it.

What I miss: Finding pants that fit. Hand-me down preggo clothing are awesome, but only 3 pairs of pants fit me right now.

Best Moment of the week: We find out today what we are having.

Next Dr. Apt.: Today at 830am

Baby Preparations: Nothing this week.

What the Dad is saying/doing:  He is very excited to know the sex of our next child. We already went through the names again. We are all set on what to call our next child.

This year I’m once again making Calvin’s Halloween Costume. I was pretty proud of last years homemade costume that I entered it in a contest. It was all over the local news! It was a pretty awesome moment for me.

Halloween Costumes in the store can sometimes be over priced for just wearing it just once. I tend to like to re-use outfits over an over again. Just like last years costume, I had to come up with one that he could re-use for a few months.

here is my idea:

I’m going to make Calvin into a Crayon.

Here is a store bought costume of a Crayon where I am drawing my inspiration from.

I am going to find a matching suit: sweat pants and a sweatshirt that are the same color. It’s cold here in the northeast so I am going to get it a tad bigger so we can layer.  Then I will make a cone for his head, which will be the tip of the crayon. Sew on black felt letters that spell out CRAYON. Add some embellishments like a crayon.  I really think it will turn out well. Pictures soon to come of my homemade costume.

- Where have I been? Didn’t notice that I really have been MIA lately? I have been in a blog slump. Nothing over the top to share, create or do.

-My head hurts- my body aches, and I feel sick to my stomach most of the time. Let’s not forget how tired I feel just after 20 mins of doing something simple.

-I am in a better place about this pregnancy. I had my hCG levels tested and things look super fantastic. I have my first ultrasound at the end of the month! I am wicked excited.

- I was thinking about Calvin’s bday. Should I have a party? Should we take him out to eat? Right now because of my fatigue, nauseousness, um-motivated self, I don’t want to do much in the way of celebrating! My little will be 2!

-I haven’t even worked on a Halloween costume for him. I need to get my wheels turning!

I have been enjoying the one day I do teach. Getting back to the classroom is my place to be. I struggle doing just one day a week from 8-4! It completely wipes me thin on energy.

- I look forward to more fall weather, although I am so sensitive to the cold. You can find me under the blankets.

-I have no desire to run. But I do promise myself 3 days a week for babyboot camp and a Jillian video when ever I can manage not to feel sick or tired (which is very limited).  I hope to find some energy and will to go for a walk!

Anyone else get in a slump during their 1st Trimester? Does it end?

Back to the grind this week. Hubby is no longer on vacation and this momma can finally make some decent dinners. Nothing out of the ordinary this week or weekend to fuss over. Just simple homemade dinners. Now it’s time to write it on my menu board in the kitchen.

MENU 8/12

Sunday- Pork chops, porogies and a salad

Monday- General Tso’s chicken and egg rolls

Tuesday- Breakfast for dinner- Bacon, eggs, hash browns

Wednesday- BLT’s with a tomato cucumber salad

Thursday- Leftovers

Friday- Fresh tomato, basil and mozzarella pizza

Saturday- Crock pot dinner- not sure what one I will be doing yet. Have any ideas?

What I mean by use your resources, is to open a cookbook, search for a new recipe online, ask a friend for a recipe. Be inspired by what you found.  I recently found an awesome recipe for Zucchini brownies over at the Blog, The Gorsky Horse. I can still use a recipe for the crock pot on Saturday. As a SAHM there are days that I think running pants and a grey tee are “CUTE”. See I need help in the fashion department. So I turn to Polyvore to help bring my style back.

There are so many times when things don’t come out right. I don’t normally share with you those times, but they do happen.

For instance The time I made Strawberry Jello cool whip cups! What I didn’t tell you in that post- was the fact that that pictures was my second batch of making this recipe. I kinda messed it up on the first go.

Or how about the time I make  Buffalo- Ranch chicken lasagna that called for a 1 cup of Franks Red hot sauce. While my husband enjoyed it spicy , we couldn’t finish the pan of lasagna. What burns going in does burn coming out. Just saying.
